Eligibility & limits

Your credit limit is a ceiling, not a target.

Stelo is designed to show what your current financial profile supports, keep larger tiers locked when they are outside that capacity and separate product eligibility from final loan approval.

The effective credit ceiling

Stelo considers the whole financial position, not just the biggest product in the catalogue.

The public website does not pretend there is one universal formula that applies forever. The account-level decision remains server-authoritative and can reflect the current financial picture and active policy controls.

1

Profile confidence. Complete, consistent and appropriately verified financial context can support a clearer assessment.

2

Affordability capacity. Income must be considered after recurring expenses and other obligations.

3

Current exposure. Outstanding loans and relevant guarantee obligations can reduce remaining borrowing room.

4

Applicable product/risk controls. Product rules and current account conditions can further restrict what is selectable.

What you can see

The catalogue can stay visible while access stays controlled.

Showing the wider Stelo structure helps customers understand what exists without implying that every amount or term is available today.

Selectable

Eligible now

The product and term fit within your current eligibility and effective limit, so you can proceed to review the actual quote.

Not currently eligible

You can understand the wider product structure, but options outside your current capacity remain unavailable for selection.

Eligibility can change

New obligations, improved evidence, repayment behaviour or other account changes can affect future availability in either direction.

Subject to future review
Existing exposure

Borrowing room is what remains after current obligations—not the full headline limit every time.

If part of your borrowing capacity is already committed to an active obligation, the remaining available room can be smaller than the effective ceiling. That helps prevent stacking new debt without accounting for what is already due.

Important

The exact amount is account-specific. This illustration explains the concept, not a promised limit.

Why availability can change

Eligibility is a current-state decision, not a permanent entitlement.

↑

Stronger evidence

More complete and consistent verified financial context can support clearer future assessment.

✓

Responsible repayment

Servicing obligations responsibly can become positive history, while still requiring a fresh assessment later.

+

New obligations

Additional recurring expenses, debt or guarantee exposure can reduce the room available for new borrowing.

↺

Updated controls

Eligibility can also reflect current product rules, account conditions and applicable lending controls.

!
No automatic growth promise

Completing a loan successfully can contribute to future confidence, but Stelo should not promise that every repayment automatically increases the next credit limit.

Eligibility FAQ

Understand what “eligible” really means.

Your live Stelo account remains the source of truth for your current limit, available products and any loan quote.

Can I borrow the full amount shown in the catalogue?

Only if that amount is within your current eligibility and effective credit limit. Larger tiers can remain visible while locked.

Is my credit limit permanent?

No. The effective credit limit can be reviewed as your financial context, current exposure, repayment behaviour and applicable controls change.

Does eligibility guarantee approval?

No. Eligibility determines what can be requested. The specific loan request can still require a separate approval decision before disbursement.

Can an existing loan reduce what I can borrow?

Yes. Current borrowing and other relevant exposure can reduce the remaining room available for new credit.
